THERAPIES OFFERED

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach where therapist and client work together to identify and modify unhelpful thoughts and emotional responses—such as challenging negative thinking patterns. It also focuses on changing behaviors to promote emotional well-being. CBT is a structured, evidence-based therapy typically tailored to specific issues, with interventions often ranging from 6 to 20 sessions. Renowned for its effectiveness, CBT is recommended for conditions including depression, postnatal depression, anxiety, OCD, chronic illness management, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)

REBT is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy that emphasizes identifying and changing irrational beliefs that contribute to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. Through a collaborative process, the therapist helps clients recognize distorted thinking patterns and challenge these beliefs, fostering more rational and constructive ways of thinking. REBT also encourages clients to develop healthier emotional responses and behaviors. It is a structured, goal-focused therapy often tailored to specific issues, with treatment durations typically ranging from a few sessions to several months. REBT is effective for a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, anger management, and stress, helping clients achieve lasting emotional resilience.

Assertiveness Training

Assertiveness Training is a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals develop the skills to communicate their needs, boundaries, and feelings confidently and respectfully. Through a combination of education, practice, and feedback, clients learn to express themselves clearly without aggression or passivity. The training focuses on enhancing self-esteem, reducing anxiety around social interactions, and improving interpersonal relationships. It is a structured and practical process that often involves role-playing and real-life exercises, tailored to address specific social or emotional challenges. Assertiveness training is effective for a variety of issues, including social anxiety, self-esteem concerns, workplace communication, and conflict resolution, empowering clients to interact more confidently and authentically in their personal and professional lives.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a practice designed to help individuals manage stress, challenging thoughts, and emotions through meditation and present-moment awareness. It encourages intentionally pausing automatic reactions to become more conscious, attentive, and responsive to one’s experiences. Recognized by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for supporting those with recurrent depression, mindfulness has also been effectively applied to a variety of issues such as pain management, anxiety, and stress reduction. It promotes a compassionate, non-judgmental awareness that can foster emotional resilience and overall well- being.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation, focused attention, and heightened awareness—often referred to as a trance state—to facilitate change. During hypnosis, individuals become more receptive to positive suggestions and insights, helping to address a variety of psychological and behavioral issues. Hypnotherapy can assist with managing stress, anxiety, phobias, habits such as smoking, and pain management, among other concerns. It is a structured, goal-oriented approach that is typically delivered in a series of sessions tailored to the client's specific needs.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

ACT is a form of psychological therapy that encourages individuals to accept their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or avoiding them. Through mindfulness and value-based exercises, clients learn to
observe their internal experiences with openness and compassion, while simultaneously committing to actions that align with their core values. ACT aims to increase psychological flexibility, helping people live more meaningful and fulfilling lives despite ongoing challenges. It is a structured, goal-focused approach often tailored to individual needs, and it has been shown to be effective for a range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, and chronic pain. By fostering acceptance and committed action, ACT supports lasting psychological resilience and well-being.
